You probably didn’t come to Shaboozey through country radio. You came through TikTok, or through Cowboy Carter, or because “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” spent 19 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and you simply couldn’t avoid it — and then you were glad you couldn’t.
You listened to Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going and thought: this sounds like everything at once. Country. Hip-hop. Americana. Soul. A jukebox country bar in Lagos. A dusty West Texas highway at sunset.
That’s the thread this itinerary follows. Not a genre. A feeling.
