Give Tara Statham a cowboy hat and a few personal details, and she’ll make something that feels completely you. Give her a fresh start she didn’t plan on? She’ll build a business.
The woman behind Get Lit Nashville joins Amanda Adams and returning favorite Ava Paige on That Nashville Girl Show for hats, honest conversation, and a little hot pink. After a divorce left her without an income or alimony, Tara started hand-stamping words of affirmation onto jewelry at her kitchen table.
What began with making pieces for friends grew into a business—and eventually a brand with female partners across the country.
We get into the hustle behind the pretty things: promoting yourself when it feels uncomfortable, turning a creative passion into a paycheck, and knowing when it’s time to change direction. Tara also shares how thrifting, vintage finds, and connecting with customers keep her excited about creating.
And yes, there’s a hat reveal. Tara surprises Amanda and Ava with custom hats, and suddenly “I don’t wear hats” Amanda has some reconsidering to do. Think hot pink, denim, feathers, and details so personal you’d swear Tara had known them forever.
Plus, Ava explains why taking multiple hats to Denmark seemed like a good idea, we revisit the With Love charity event that brought us together, and we celebrate a side of Nashville’s creativity that deserves the spotlight.
