There's a new kid on the 4th & Broadway block, and I'm going to give you five reasons you can't skip it.
By Amanda Adams
Okay, y’all. When your Uber or Lyft drops you off in downtown Nashville, you have a lot of choices. You can pop into pretty much any bar or restaurant between 5th and Broadway and 1st Ave and you’ll find great music and something you like. But there’s a new kid on the 4th & Broadway block, and I’m going to give you five reasons you can’t skip it.
Every detail from floor 1 to the rooftop on floor 5 was carefully planned. This is a bar you just know Jon Bon Jovi is proud to have his name on. Food, art, perfectly crafted cocktail menus, and of course, rock music that will have you begging the band for “It’s My Life.”
Let’s start with the fact that this bar really does have it all. At 37,000 sq ft, it’s one of the largest bars on Lower Broadway — eight bars, five floors, three stages, and two rooftops, including the highest rooftop bar on Broadway. Want a tattoo? There’s a shop for that. Feeling adventurous? Mechanical bull — check. Want to catch every Titans game with Sunday Ticket? No problem. Is this an amusement park for adults? Very possible — and honestly, we love it.
#1: The Rooftop (Times Two)
I know, I know — it seems like every bar in Nashville has a rooftop these days.
But not only does JBJ’s have the highest rooftop on Broadway, they have two. I’ve lived in this city for 20 years, and this is genuinely one of the best views you’ll find.
And the way the rooftop bars are set up, you can join the dance party with the band or grab a table with a view for a really great meal — more on that in a second.
You get the neon lights of Broadway, the Batman Building, and so much more.

You can book a 2-hour private rooftop experience during the day, and I highly recommend it. It includes two buckets of beer and Hampton Water Rosé — my new favorite rosé. $500 for a group of 6, available until 6 PM daily. Worth every penny.
#2: The Food
You expect bar food at a Broadway bar, but JBJ’s said, “Bar food — but make it seriously good.” The JBJ’s Club Sandwich and the Pulled Pork Sandwich will be famous by this time next year. You heard it here first.
The Wagyu Sliders are already a fan favorite. And if you’re looking for ribs? You found them. Housemade dry rub and a side of coleslaw that will get the approval of every Southerner from Texas to North Carolina. They pride themselves on fresh food, and it shows in every single bite.
#3: The Layout
Spaces this big usually feel chaotic. And when it’s busy and you don’t want to wait on the elevator, most stairs from the first floor to the rooftop feel like a punishment. You’re counting steps and swearing it can’t possibly be worth it. Not here.
Every wall is lined with art, memorabilia, and fun things to keep you entertained on the climb. Even the stairs are adorned with JBJ lyrics to keep the party going. Don’t just think of it as getting from point A to point B — it was designed to keep you singing “ohhhh, we’re halfway there!” the whole way up.
#4: The Drinks
With signature cocktails named after Bon Jovi songs, the menu is as well-curated as the rest of this place.
My personal faves: the Superman, the Legendary Margarita, and Livin’ On Espresso — but every single one has a personality. Here’s where things get really fun though: I am a picky, picky wine drinker.
It’s just not something I typically order at a Broadway bar. But JBJ’s isn’t any old bar. You can order Veuve by the bottle or, if you’re just having a casual day, the Hampton Water Rosé is absolutely the move!

It is perfect for a warm Nashville day. I’m actually writing this from the rooftop with a glass in hand, so take that as the endorsement it is.
#5: The Music
JBJ’s has figured out the sound of Nashville right now. That blend of rock and country isn’t just what’s playing on the radio — it’s what people actually want to hear when they’re out on a Friday night, and JBJ’s delivers it on three stages.
What I love even more? The lineup consistently features female artists in a way that a lot of Broadway bars just don’t prioritize. We are absolutely here for that. Check the calendar before you go — the special rooftop events alone are worth planning your night around.
And don’t forget the tattoo shop — honestly one of the coolest things they’ve added, and it makes me want to go in for a new fine line tattoo of my own. Who wants to meet me there?
And if you’re a true Bon Jovi fan, don’t miss the merch — so many fun items.
My favorites: the JBJ Tour Crew ‘26 t-shirt and the “One Wild Night” hoodie. (JBJ’s if you’re reading, feel free to send these my way. I’ll wear them all around town.)
Here’s the thing about JBJ’s: it could have coasted on the name alone and people still would have shown up. Instead, they built something that actually earns it — on every floor, in every detail, from the first drink to the last song of the night. This is the kind of place that makes you proud of this city all over again. Jon Bon Jovi has always known how to do it right, and this is no exception.
